Analytics and advertising measurement

BestCrosshair can use Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand site usage, and Google Ads to measure advertising performance. These services are controlled centrally by the choices shown in our consent interface. Optional services do not initialize before their required category is allowed.

Our consent system records the selected categories, the coarse privacy-policy region, consent versions, a random receipt identifier and the time of the choice in a first-party preference cookie. It does not place your name, email, precise location or raw IP address in that cookie.

Your choices

You can accept, reject or customize optional Analytics and Advertising services. The Cookie settings control in the footer lets you change or withdraw a choice at any time. Withdrawing a category updates service consent signals, removes known accessible first-party tracking storage for that category and reloads the page so disallowed services are no longer initialized.

Comments and corrections

When you submit a comment or correction, we collect the name, email and text you provide. Email is encrypted at rest and is never published. New comments are moderated before appearing.

Abuse prevention

A salted one-way hash of the request IP address is stored for rate limiting and vote integrity. The hash is not displayed publicly.

User-submitted links receive ugc nofollow. BestCrosshair does not use Gravatar or Disqus.
